Local Projects is seeking a Human Resources Generalist with strong Agency Recruiting skills who will work with the Studio’s Directors to recruit, motivate and guide some of the top creative talent in the city as they produce cutting edge design and technology projects all over the world.

This is a role that requires a day-to-day engagement and communication with all departments and employees within the studio. In this role, the Resource Manager executes the following primary goals and objectives.

Requirements

Responsibilities for the HR Manager/Recruiter Role

Should have strong HR experience working in agency environments

Proven track record of strategically driving a positive and productive overall company culture

Remain highly empathic to individuals – understand their core needs and hopes and help them focus their passions in concert with Local Project's (LP’s) vision, mission and goals

Employee Relations experience – keeping an ear to the ground regarding performance concerns, working with leadership to immediately address

Work with Team Leaders effectively – mentor and support leadership in becoming ever stronger leaders. Primary tool has been through better performance reviews, next step is supporting a new Studio Model -- build PROJECT TEAM EFFECTIVENESS and support the healthy development of BESPOKE TEAM STRUCTURES

Work closely with rest of Operations team, Overall Company Employee Initiatives (e.g. Creative Shot), Employee Awards to ensure that LP beyond company tentpole events, Local Projects continues to be a great environment for employees to do good work

Work with an ideal complement of recruiting agencies and portals, to attract best candidates for Local Projects and to complete all steps in interviewing & onboarding

Continuous review of the effectiveness of performance reviews, ensuring each employee has a useful 90 day and annual review to set goals for their time at LP. Feedback is direct and useful – employees know where they stand based on their performance.

Lead on all HR stakeholder vendor relationships – Immigration, Employment Law, Benefits

Ongoing HR counsel for employees and for managers

Working with managers and employees to set a career path in alignment with their passions and LP’s needs

Handling terminations – documentation, benefits overview, exit interview

Employee manual next steps

Legal Compliance – Federal, State, Department of Labor

Insurance Compliance


Requirements:

•5 years Experience in Human Resources, at least one in an agency environment

•Strong business and personal ethics

•Experience in a faced paced creative/production environment

•Genuinely enjoy people as an overall team and as individuals with a natural ease in fostering positive relationships with all experience levels of employees, diverse backgrounds and nationalities, and across all design disciplines.


Our studio demands a very special individual, who can shadow the creative process to understand the unique roles and collaboration approach required for the creation of media.
